Mandy Windecker has worked for Western Producer Publications
for the past 11 years and served as GSU’s vice president for 6 years.
Mandy can be found in Western Producer’s Regina office in the
advertising department, making sales calls and meeting with clients.
When she’s not at work or at home raising a young family, Mandy is busy
doing volunteer work for the town’s water board and actively
participating in Grain Services Union work and events.
Mandy was pleased to be re-elected to the position of GSU vice
president and she has plans for her two-year term in office.
“I’m going to encourage GSU members, and especially GSU’s female
members, to step up and take an active role within GSU,” Mandy said.
“I’ve tried to set an example by standing up for my rights and showing
we have a voice in the workplace.”
“I’m especially excited to have a female president,” Mandy added. “I’m
really looking forward to working with Carolyn and Jim to educate
members on their collective agreement rights and what the union can do
for its members.”
Mandy lives on an acreage in Gray, Saskatchewan, with her husband,
Dave, and their two daughters.
