What is HughTube?

HughTube was created in 2008 as a communication tool to update members during a strike. It was named after GSU General Secretary and GSU's chief spokesperson Hugh Wagner, who regularly reported to members in a series of video updates.

Many employers do not allow workplace access to links of this nature.
GSU encourages you to check these links on your home computer.

Obama: Level the playing field for unions

President Obama says he wants to "level the playing field" for labour unions, saying that strong unions needed to work "side by side" with strong businesses.

"I do not view the labour movement as part of the problem. To me, it's part of the solution," he added.
